A Study on the Factor for Evaluating the Usability of the Special Public Portal Site and Its Increase: e-Welfare Portal Site

Abstract
The objective of this study is to explore and verify the model for evaluating the web usability of special public portal site and the program for producing user-oriented information to increase the usability. Hence a structural equations modeling (SEM) technique and decision tree analysis are used to examine the factors for evaluating the web usability and to classify the features of users, respectively. Data for this study are collected using a questionnaire that is surveyed 1,245 visitors by online. Analyses show that the factors influencing a web usability of the portal site are ¡¯the completion of
function as a portal¡¯, ¡¯the quality of information on welfare¡¯, and ¡¯user¡¯s good use¡¯. Among the selected factors, the completion of function as a portal has a strong influence on performance, with almost 49.7% of the variance in performance consisted of overall satisfaction, revisit intention and usefulness of current work being attributed to web usability.
